Remove Metadata From Multiple Photos at Once
Drop up to 300 photos, or a whole folder, on the box below to clean them all in one go. WipePic removes the location, camera details, dates and other hidden data from each photo and gives you one ZIP file. It is free and works in your browser, so your photos are not uploaded.

How to remove metadata from many photos
- Drop your photos on the box, or choose them from your device. To take a whole folder with its subfolders, use the folder button.
- WipePic looks at every photo and lists what it found, grouped by kind, for example location, camera and phone model, and date and time taken.
- Optional: type a base name to rename the cleaned files.
- Click Remove hidden data.
- Download the ZIP file. You can change its name first.
What a batch can hold
- Up to 300 files in one batch, each up to 50 MB.
- Folders with subfolders. The ZIP file keeps the folder structure.
- Mixed formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, GIF, TIFF and DNG.
- One ZIP file for several photos. Large batches come as ZIP parts of up to 2 GB.
Check one photo, then clean them all
You do not need to open every photo. Look at the summary in the list, and click any row to see each field with its value. For a photo with GPS data, a small offline map shows a dot where it was taken. If you want a record of what the photos held, try the EXIF report tool.
Same quality, less data
WipePic does not decode and compress your photos again. It removes the hidden data and copies the image data as it is. Orientation, color profile, transparency, animation, the HDR gain map and RAW decoding data stay. After cleaning, WipePic reads each file again and saves it only if no removable metadata is left.
When a batch is useful
A batch fits when you sell several items online, post a whole album, send photos to a client or share a folder with a team. Read how to remove metadata before selling online for the steps. To remove only the location from your photos, see remove location from a photo.
Your photos stay on your device
WipePic cleans your photos in your browser. It does not upload them, and you do not need an account. Your photos, their file names and their metadata stay with you.
Questions
How many photos can I clean at once?
Up to 300 photos in one batch, and each photo can be up to 50 MB. If you have more, clean them in several batches. There is no daily limit and no account.
Can I drop a whole folder?
Yes. Choose a folder instead of single files, and WipePic takes the photos in it and in its subfolders. In the ZIP file, the cleaned photos keep their folder structure.
How do I download many cleaned photos?
When you clean more than one photo, WipePic puts them in a ZIP file. A large batch can come as several ZIP parts, each up to 2 GB. You can change the name of the ZIP file before you download it.
Can I rename the cleaned photos?
Yes. Type a base name in the optional "Base name" field before you click Remove hidden data. WipePic then names the cleaned files in list order, for example Holiday_001.jpg, Holiday_002.jpg and so on. If you leave the field empty, the files keep their original names.
Which photo types work in a batch?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, GIF, TIFF and DNG. You can mix them in one batch. Videos, PDF files and Office files are not supported.
Does a batch lower the quality of my photos?
No. WipePic does not compress the photos again when it cleans them, so the pixels do not change. It reads each cleaned file again and saves it only if no removable metadata is left. Converting to another format is a separate option, and it does change the pixels.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. WipePic works in your browser, so your photos, file names and metadata are not uploaded. The site uses Google Analytics for visit statistics, but your photos stay on your device.
